GRCA 2009 National Specialty

It appears that there is concern that the pending Oklahoma Quality Pet
Assurance Act (aka HB 1332) will affect people who attend this year's
National Specialty in Enid Oklahoma.

Dog clubs throughout Oklahoma are working to defeat this legislation and we
are optimistic that we've got a good handle on it. However, anything can
happen and there is always the chance that it could pass.

Even if this becomes law while it will be a blow to dog clubs in Oklahoma it
will not affect the GRCA National in Enid. If enacted it will go into
affect November 1, 2009 and with that there is a 90 day window after the
effective date so it will not have any effect on the National.
